Help & FAQ

Everything you need to get playing — controls, save states, creating AI games and the AImotion motion controller.

🕹️ Retro Play (emulators)

Do I need to download or install anything?+

No. Every game runs directly in your browser — no downloads, no installs.

How do I save and load my game (save states)?+

Press F5 to save the state and F7 to load it. F1 opens the emulator menu, where you can also manage saves.

Does it work with a gamepad?+

Yes. Connect a USB or Bluetooth controller and the emulator detects it automatically. You can also remap buttons from the menu (F1).

Can I play on my phone or tablet?+

Yes. On touch screens you get on-screen controls. For demanding consoles (N64, PS1) a computer gives the best experience.

A game runs slow or won't load — what can I do?+

3D consoles (N64, PS1) are heavier: try a desktop with Chrome and close other tabs. If a game won't load, reload the page.

🤖 AI Arcade (create games)

How do I create my own game?+

Go to “Create game”, describe the idea you have in mind and the AI generates a playable game in seconds. No code.

How many games can I create?+

Free generation has a daily limit to keep the service open for everyone.

Is the game I create saved?+

You can publish it to the community gallery for others to play, or keep it to yourself.

🎾 AImotion (motion games)

What do I need to play?+

A big screen (laptop or TV) that shows the game, and a phone that acts as the motion controller. Nothing to install.

How do I connect my phone?+

Open a game on the big screen, scan the QR with your phone and tap to allow the motion sensor.

My phone isn't detecting motion+

On iPhone you must tap “Allow” when the motion sensor is requested. It needs a secure (HTTPS) connection — which retrohub.live already provides — and a firm gesture when you move the phone.

Can I play alone?+

Yes. In Motion Tennis, one phone plays against the CPU; two phones make it a 1v1 duel.

🛍️ Store & general

What do the store bundles include?+

Preconfigured emulation software (systems, shaders, themes and guides). They do not include game ROMs.

Is using RetroHub legal?+

Emulating systems is legal in many jurisdictions; you are responsible for having the right to play each title. If you are a rights holder, see our takedown (DMCA) policy.

How do I contact you?+
